Busy Busy

Hello, super quick update to post new layout. Will post larger entry in a bit. So much shopping cleaning to do!

Same old me, brand newish domain

If there is one thing I suffer from it’s most definitely procrastination. Dear me. I have had this layout up for ages (well before I went on holiday) and I even wrote a blog entry, yet, due to my laziness I couldn’t be bothered to fix some issues with the layout and so until now it’s been on maintenance mode.

Oh well, I know there are some things I need to fix but for now I can’t be bothered and so I will slowly fix any issues. Feel free to point any out so I can add them to the list. :sweatdrop:

Anyway, new domain and new blog. I imported my old blogs as I felt unlike gypsy-rose.org where I wanted a clean new start this time I wanted to bring that past with me. Hope you all like the layout. It won’t be up for long as I will be changing it with a layout with some pics I took in Mauritius. :flip:

Yep I have just had a week holiday in the lovely land of Mauritus, where it was hot, hot and even more hot (they were in winter and I was already melting). The resort we stayed in was lovely, it was a small hotel but really cosy. The staffs were lovely and really friendly. That is one thing which really impressed me about the hotel, their willingness to sort things out and dealing with hysterical women who see a lizard in their room and demand to change rooms *cough* But that minor problem aside it was lovely there. The beach is so clean and the sand is so white. I swear I it was so amazing and man the ocean! It was really nice to swim in, a bit cold when you first go in but you soon climatise. :cute:

We didn’t just stay on the beach, we went for a few trips. There was this park with some mild tame lions and we got to stroke them! We couldn’t do the walk with lions as you need to book like 2 weeks in advance but we did get to go to the encounter and stroke them. I was actually really scared. It was so scary ‘cos we were walking around the enclosure with the guide and we looked up in the tree and saw 3 other lions there that we didn’t see before. My sister stroked on of them (my mother and I were like no) and she got brushed off by their tail it was so funny. Can’t wait to upload the photo of that, they will be all be on my facebook.

The last trip we did was to go in a submarine. It was so cool we went down 30m under the sea. Saw loads of fish and some reefs. One of them was a shrunken ship, known as the Mauritius Titanic (it has its real name but I’ve forgotten). We also saw some anchors and some natural reefs, which were quite rare on this part of the ocean. Managed to see a spine fish, some really weird coloured fish and an eel. There were also some really horrible gold fish (not like the ones in a bowl) there were yellow and white and all resting on this reef. The guide told us they were tired of swimming and so were resting. I thought if I looked as horrible as that I would be resting permanently or something. Sadly, though, I am not sure if the pictures came out clearly, as we were underwater but I will still upload them.

The flight going to Mauritius was lovely. We flew Air Seychelles and the air hostesses from London to Mauritius were really lovely. Since we got a brilliant price we did have a long journey as we had to stop in Milan and then again in Seychelles (omg that ocean).
Unfortunately coming back wasn’t as nice. The ground staff in Seychelles are rude, lazy and down right stupid. So I have written a complaint letter about the problems we encountered (I am not going into it on this blog as it will take over. Will probably save it for another) so I just need to type it up and email it to them. :emo:

So now it’s back to reality of cold miserable England (damn this horrible rain) and work – yuck. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I want to go back and sit on the beach and do nothing all day but I can probably guess you can imagine it so. Ah well, next beach holiday will definitely have to be the Maldives with Sri Lanka thrown in. But I think our next holiday (for me at least as my mum and sister are already going away to their respective holidays in November) will be my birthday time (unless something else happens by them) and it will be too Dubai. We all really want to stay at the Atlantis hotel. Water parks, how cool! Can’t wait till May now.
